NANTZ: So is it over now? He is the future quarterback of this organization?
JOHN FOX:
Well, I have a hard time always talking about the future. We’re in this season. We’ve got three games left in the regular season. Who knows what comes after that. We’re focused on the now and next up is the New England Patriots.

NANTZ: Two divisional leaders and it’s Tebow and Brady for the first time ever.  How big is it?  I mean, get down to it.  How big is this one?
TEBOW: Well, it’s big because it’s our next game. What a great honor and great challenge it is to be able to play against Coach Belichick and play against Tom Brady, who will ultimately go down as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. That is something that is very exciting for me. It will be a dream come true. And I know when we step on the field it will be a lot of fun. I’ll give my heart and soul out there and try to make the Denver Broncos fans very proud.

DAN MARINO COMMENTS ON POSSIBILITY OF HIS 27-YEAR PASSING RECORD FOR MOST YARDS BEING BROKEN THIS YEAR

MARINO:  That’s what’s surprising, it’s actually lasted that long. I do think Drew Brees is going to get it. He said he’d like to have it. He may get it in a couple of weeks. And Tom Brady, I think, will get it for sure. It’s lasted a long time.

NFL COMMISSIONER ROGER GOODELL WITH JAMES BROWN ON NEW NFL TV DEAL

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke with THE NFL TODAY’S James Brown about the television deal that the NFL recently renewed with CBS, Fox, and NBC and what the future holds for NFL broadcasting.

QUICK HITS

(On New England-Denver)
COWHER
: New England is not a great defense.  The pressure today goes on New England, because right now they have everything to lose and nothing to gain.

(On how many other coaches will lose their jobs)
BOOMER ESIASON:  I’ve got seven-or-more. I’ve got nine other guys that better worry about their job security. Yes. Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Oakland, San Diego and Kansas City, of course they already fired him (Haley). How about the Giants, Dallas and Philadelphia? How about Minnesota, Tampa Bay, St. Louis? All has to do with ticket sales.
SHANNON SHARPE:  I agree with Boomer. I say seven because of the guys he just named. Raheem Morris in Tampa Bay, Spagnola in St. Louis. I believe they’re going to lose their head coach in Indy, Jim Caldwell, that’s three and one more.

(On Kansas City job): One name rumored for the job that will not be there is Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz.  I talked to him this week, he’s staying at Iowa. I would not be totally surprised if Romeo Crennel is not the head coach next year.
