No Announcement on NFL Week 15 Schedule Yet

After the haggling between CBS and NBC over the New England Patriots-Denver Broncos game could not be settled, league office sent this e-mail to its TV partners, media reporters and various bloggers including yours truly.

Due to NFL Committee Meetings in New York today, the Week 15 flexible schedule announcement will be released tomorrow (Wednesday, December 7). All of the clubs under consideration to have Week 15 games flexed have informed our office that they are interested in the strongest schedule for our fans and network partners.

Those “Committee Meetings” probably involved the Broadcast Committee which Patriots owner Bob Kraft heads. I’ll predict here that because CBS protected New York Jets at Philadelphia for Week 15, it’s SOL to keep New England-Denver from being flexed to primetime and NBC’s Sunday Night Football. But it won’t come without a future concession to CBS. As soon as a decision is made, you’ll see the NFL press release right here.
