With the college basketball season starting up tonight (!), CBS Sports Network gets into high gear with the season premiere of its show hosted by Sports Illustrated’s Seth Davis. While I’m still not totally sold on Sethie on TV, I’ve mellowed on my opinions of him. I slaughtered him for his work on the NCAA Tournament in the past, but I think with CBS/Turner putting him in the secondary studio in Atlanta while Greg Anthony, Kenny “The Jet” Smith and Charles Barkley were in NYC, I think less was more with Seth.
I still enjoy his writing in Sports Illustrated so it’s perhaps it’s a case of being “seen and not heard” that’s working for me. And Seth’s show, Courtside returns tonight on CBS Sports Network with guests from all over the world of college basketball.
