TBS Builds Audience For 19 Games of the League Division Series

Thanks to having three series reach the maximum five games for the League Division Series, TBS was able to build its ratings and viewership for the MLB Postseason. After getting off to a slow start, TBS set two records for the LDS, first Game 5 of the Tigers-Yankees series became the most watched and highest rated LDS game on cable and Friday’s Game 5 of the Cardinals-Phillies series became the most watched NLDS game in cable TV history.

The penultimate game of St. Louis-Philadelphia received a 5.1 rating and an audience of just under 8.4 million people. For Game 5 of the Arizona-Milwaukee series, TBS garnered a 3.0 rating and just shy of 4.6 million viewers.

For the entire LDS, Turner Sports (16 games on TBS, 3 on TNT)  averaged a 2.7 rating with 4.19 million viewers. Here’s the Turner press release.
