For the 2nd straight week, Fox is claiming a ratings victory over all of the other NFL TV partners for Week 4. Fox notes that its regional coverage averaged a 14.0 rating with a 30 share bringing a total of 23.3 million viewers to its games. The network says that’s better than a national doubleheader that Fox aired in Week 4 last year.
Fox says Sunday was the most watched for regional coverage since 1995 and the highest rated for an NFL singleheader since 1998.
And Fox is crowing about beating CBS’ national doubleheader on Sunday and NBC’s Sunday Night Football game.
Let’s look at the Fox Sports press release below.
NFL ON FOX WEEK 4 SCORES HIGHEST RATING FOR SINGLEHEADER SINCE 1998 OUTRATES CBS’ NATIONAL GAME AND NBC’S SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

NFL on FOX’s singleheader Week 4 slate posted a strong 14.0/30 (23.3 million viewers), +26% better than last year’s doubleheader average of an 11.1/23 (18.5 million).
