This is like when the Red Sox equipment truck goes to Fort Myers, FL every year. It’s kind of silly, but you know it’s a sign that the season is about to begin. NBC has announced that Faith Hill will return for her 5th season as the singer of “I’ve Been Waiting All Day For Sunday Night”. The first singer was Pink, then NBC replaced her with Faith Hill and hasn’t looked back. And for some reason, Faith is looking hotter with each passing year. Perhaps it’s the fact that she’s wearing less and less with each passing year. So we have the press release for you.

Grammy Award-Winner Records NBC “Sunday Night Football” Opening Theme “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” for Fifth Consecutive Season
NEW YORK – September 1, 2011 – NBC Sports will again feature five-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist Faith Hill performing the opening theme for NBC “Sunday Night Football,” “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.”
Hill’s “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” debuts this season on Sunday, Sept. 11, the first “Sunday Night Football” broadcast of 2011 featuring the New York Jets hosting the Dallas Cowboys.
The opening theme will continue weekly, kicking off “Sunday Night Football” throughout the NFL season on NBC.
“I wait all year for Sunday Night,” said Faith Hill. “Somehow the season wouldn’t feel the same without seeing everyone from NBC/ Sunday Night Football over the summer (when we record and film the open). It makes it feel like the wait for the season is somehow shorter.”
“Faith Hill has become a staple of Sunday Night Football,” said Fred Gaudelli, “NBC Sunday Night Football” producer. “And in year five she’s better than ever.”
Hill has sold 30 million records worldwide and topped the charts with 13 No. 1 singles and 20 No. 1 videos throughout her 18-year career. Her last three studio album releases, 1999’s BREATHE, 2002’s CRY and 2005’s FIREFLIES all debuted consecutively at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Pop Album Chart and Country Chart, making her the only female artist ever to accomplish this feat.
“Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is set to the original Joan Jett song, “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” She recorded the track with her longtime producer Byron Gallimore and the video was shot in Los Angeles.
Hill is currently in the studio recording what will be her first release of new music in six years.
