There is a person whom I got to know during baseball season whose Twitter screen name is BrianAdExec.
According to his account, he lives in New York and grew up in Rhode Island. In addition, he says he likes to travel. Other than that, there’s no other information about him. He last tweeted on October 8 and has not been heard from since.
Many Red Sox fans on Twitter became attached to him as he would tweet during the games as they were broadcast on NESN, Fox or ESPN. But since October 8, no one has heard from him. Brian does have a Facebook account, but I don’t have access to it. There are fans who do have access and they note that there is similar inactivity there as well.
We’ve been trying to track him down to no avail. So in lieu of going on America’s Most Wanted or starting up Unsolved Mysteries again, I’m doing an appeal here.
If you’re an acquaintance of BrianAdExec or are a friend of someone who knows him, please let him know that there are a group of people who are worried about him. Normally, I wouldn’t do this, but this disappearance has gone to four months now.
Perhaps Brian no longer wants to Tweet or be on Facebook or wants to be found, but I want to get this message out that there are people who care and want to know that he’s ok. If you know him, please get in contact with me at kzfone@gmail.com or forward my e-mail address to him. You can let him know that he can contact me in confidence if he wishes. All people want to know is that he’s safe and sound.
UPDATE, 1:00 a.m.: A person on Twitter has informed me that his name is Brian McGrath and he lives in New York. That’s the only information that I will make public. Anything else that is given to me on Brian will remain confidential. Again, if you know Brian McGrath or are an acquaintance with a friend of his, please give him my e-mail address and let him know he can contact me in confidence. We are worried about him and want to know that he’s ok.
