Preview of The Real L Word Series Premiere

If you have been with Fang’s Bites, you’ll know that I was a fan of the series, “The L Word”. At first, I was excited about seeing lesbians on television. But then, the show became about relationships and the storylines for me and I forgot the show was about lesbians. I loved the characters, but the last season when Jenny was killed became one giant mess.

Now comes a reality show produced by the same Ilene Chaiken who ran the original series. Let’s hope it doesn’t become a run of the mill reality show that falls into the same traps that other reality series have. After Ellen’s Karman Kregloe has her review of the first two episodes.

Here’s a preview of the very first show:

I’ll watch the first few shows to see if it hooks me. I did like Logo’s Gimme Sugar, but I lost track of the program after a while as it became all about fighting and yelling. Here’s hoping the Real L Word can display the lesbian experience in a decent light without falling into stereotypes. We’ll see.
