Sports Media Weekly Podcast No. 61

No guest on the Sports Media Weekly Podcast this week. Instead Keith Thibault of Sports Media Journal and I discussed the news of the past few days including the development that the NFL is shopping the rights to the first half of Thursday Night Football to potential suitors. We also discussed the record ratings of Game 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Final in Boston and nationwide.

Then we discuss how MLB Network will utilize both Bob Costas and Al Michaels in a game in July. Both will call play-by-play and color for the Mets-Giants game.

We also go back and forth on the Women’s World Cup on the ESPN family of networks and whether people will watch.

Finally, I give my review of Boston Sports Blogapalooza from the weekend.
