Sports Media Weekly No. 153 — Paulsen, Sports Media Watch

Keith Thibault of Sports Media Journal and I have returned with an all-new edition of the podcast. The “Third Man In” this week is Paulsen the great Sports Media Watch site.

Since Paulsen has a great grasp of ratings and all things sports media, why not have him on to talk about the news of the week. Among the topics discussed:

  • NBA Finals ratings
  • NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs ratings
  • ESPN layoffs including the end of Howie Schwab a.k.a. “The Schwab” at the Worldwide Leader.
  • The end of ESPN 3D and what it means for 3-D TV in general. We also look ahead to 4K TV. Your head may explode with the technical talk.
  • A look ahead to the U.S. Open on ESPN and NBC.

We did not have a second guest. We still went 26 minutes which is good for you. Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes by doing a search for “Sports Media Journal,” but if you want to listen right away, you can go right here.
