Where to Watch the 2009 Open Championship Online

I’ve noticed that people are looking to find places to watch this week’s Open Championship online as it starts early for the U.S. fans.

I’m happy to tell you that there’s free online coverage at PGA.com. Today and Friday, it will webcast the world feed from 4 – 7 a.m. ET, then offer TNT’s coverage for the first two rounds from 7 a.m. Eastern to about 2:30 p.m. Eastern. In addition, it will offer coverage of holes 9 through 11 at Turnberry as well as offer a feature called “Inside the Ropes” that runs throughout the Open.

On Saturday, online streaming begins at 5 a.m. with the world feed, then PGA.com takes TNT’s coverage from 7 – 9 a.m. Then on Sunday, coverage starts at 6 a.m. ET.

ABC’s coverage does not appear to be available online.

Nice to have TNT’s coverage available all four days of the tournament.
