HBO To Re-Air “Lombardi” Documentary This Week

One good thing about HBO is that if you miss the original airing of a program, you have multiple chances to see it. This week, the critically-acclaimed documentary, “Lombardi” which originally aired in December returns for five re-airings. The doc will be shown twice this week on HBO, three more times on HBO2.

MULTIPLE REPLAYS SCHEDULED LEADING UP TO SUPER BOWL XLV

The Emmy®-winning combination of HBO Sports and NFL Films explores the fascinating career and life of football’s most revered coach in LOMBARDI, a critically-acclaimed documentary on the storied former head coach of the Green Bay Packers.  The film premiered this past December on HBO and the network will present multiple replays of the 90-minute special in the lead-up to Super Bowl XLV as the Green Bay Packers prepare to face the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium.

HBO playdates:  Friday, Feb. 4 (6:30 p.m.) and Sunday, Feb.  6 (9:00 a.m.)

HBO2 playdates:  Wednesday, Feb. 2 (11:30 p.m.), Thursday, Feb. 3 (1:00 p.m. & 10:00 p.m.)

The New York Post wrote, “HBO Sports presents one of the best sports documentaries ever made for TV, “Lombardi,” and, whether or not you are a football fan, you just can’t miss it.”

The Denver Post observed, “Even dedicated Packers fans might fight to find gems of biographical information covered in this extraordinary film produced by HBO and NFL Films.”
