2019/20 Formula One season

The Formula One season has been all about Lewis Hamilton and the strength of the Mercedes team. Bottas landed the opening race of the season by over 20 seconds from teammate Lewis Hamilton, which gave the first indication of the Mercedes domination.

BAHRAIN GP

Another 1-2 for Mercedes at Bahrain. Defending champion Lewis Hamilton picked up his first race off the season, just holding off Bottas with a further six seconds back to Leclerc.

Mercedes continued their domination, picking up another 1-1. This included another victory for Hamilton as he finished 6.5 seconds clear of teammate Bottas.

AZERBAIJAN GP

Bottas picked up his second race of the season, just holding off Hamilton in Azerbaijan. Vettel then finished third for his second consecutive podium.

SPANISH GP

Red Bull

A third victory of the season for Hamilton, with teammate Bottas finishing second. Red Bull’s Verstappen picked up his second podium of the season finishing just under eight seconds behind Bottas.

MONACO GP

Vettel finally ended the dominance of the Mercedes team in finishing second behind Lewis Hamilton, with Bottas back in third. He nearly also picked up the victory finishing just 2.6 seconds behind the winner.

CANADIAN GP

Bottas failed to finish on the podium for the first time of the season as Hamilton picked up another victory. Both Ferrari drivers also made the podium with Vettel finishing second for the second consecutive race.

A fourth consecutive victory for Hamilton and another 1-2 for the Mercedes team. Ferrari’s Leclerc picked up his second consecutive podium.

Hamilton failed to finish on the podium for the first time as Verstappen picked up the victory for the Red Bull team. Leclerc picked up his third consecutive podium.

Hamilton returned to winning ways on his home track, as he dominated the race winning by over 24 seconds. Bottas finished runner up with another 1-2 for the Mercedes team.

GERMAN GP

Toro Rosso

Another victory for Verstappen, with both Mercedes drivers finishing outside of the top eight. Kvyat picked up his first podium of the season for the Toro Rosso team.

HUNGARIAN GP

Hamilton returned to winning ways in Hungary as he extended his lead in the title race. He finished by over 17 seconds from Verstappen.

BELGIAN GP

Leclerc picked up his first victory of the season and first in F1 as he beat Hamilton by just under a second. Bottas then made it another full podium for the Mercedes team.

Second consecutive race victory for Leclerc as both Mercedes drivers again made the podium.
