NBC’s Today to Celebrate 100 Days to the 2014 Olympics

Tomorrow marks 100 days until the Opening Ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. With NBC airing the Olympics, it will mark the day with a promotional “roadblock” airing on all NBCUniversal networks at 8 p.m. ET/PT. And it will use the Today show to kick off the Olympic push on the networks of NBCUniversal.

Athletes will be on the Today set on 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York as guests either for interviews, features and/or live performances.

We’ll see Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Willie Geist and Natalie Morales gush over the athletes and try to talk sports for the length of this program.

I usually don’t watch Today as it’s too gossipy and Royal Family-dependent for my tastes, but if it’s your cup of tea, then this might be right up your alley.

Here’s the Today press release.
