Mad Men Season 7 Trailers

Yes, Mad Men is back and AMC is pulling the extended finale like it did with Breaking Bad by airing half of the last season this year and the rest next year.

As we go into the final season, it will be 1968 and Don Draper will be based in California as will Peter Campbell, Ted Chaough and a few other characters. Peggy Olson will be in NYC dealing with a new sexist boss and we’ll see what happens to Joan Harris, Megan Draper, Sally Draper, Ken Cosgrove, Betty Francis, and Roger Sterling.

We have a few trailers to get you ready for the season and yes, I’ll be doing the recaps as soon as the episodes air on the East Coast. West Coast viewers, just read the recaps after you watch.

Here’s the original trailer that AMC released showing the cast in an airport as if they’re ready to take a journey. And typical with Matthew Weiner’s wont to be cryptic, he’s showing Don Draper coming off a plane as if to tell us he’s either running from something or trying to make a fresh start. We’ll see what this means as the first eight episodes of the season progress.

Here’s one showing the iconic shadow of Don Draper walking into a psychedelic image. Of course, 1968 was known for the psychedelic era, taking acid and taking trips. It was a wild age. Don’s reaching for a woman’s face. Does that signify Megan? Betty? The late Anna? Someone else? Who knows?

And this one shows highlights from last season such as Don’s affair with Sylvia Rosen and the final shot of Don with his kids showing the dilapidated whorehouse where he grew up.

Finally, this promo has various people yelling at Don.

The final season of Mad Men premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC.
