Ian Eagle’s Broadcast Partners

In an offshoot from this week’s Sports Media Weekly podcast, Ian Eagle has provided Fang’s Bites with the analysts he has worked with over his 20 year broadcast career. It’s hard to believe that The Bird has been around for that long, but yes, he’s been doing this for quite some time starting as a producer for Mike and the Mad Dog on WFAN, then eventually becoming the Voice of the New York Jets and moving to CBS Sports.

With his bulk of games coming in basketball and football, it’s only natural that most of his partners from those arenas. But Ian has also called boxing, golf, tennis and track and field for CBS, NBA TV, Tennis Channel and YES. Interesting to see the names spanning from Bill Raftery to Mike Fratello to Jim Spanarkel to Phil Simms to Solomon Wilcots to Ato Boldon to John McEnroe. Overall, I count 106 names here.

With Ian’s permission, I provide you with this list. It’s quite interesting and I thank Ian for allowing me to publish it here.
