Golf Channel's One and Only Tournament This Weekend

With the U.S. Open taking place at Pebble Beach, only the LPGA is in action and that is what Golf Channel has this weekend. To be honest, it’s a bad time for the LPGA to play opposite the U.S. Open. Here are the details.

·         Paula Creamer and Alexis Thompson will be Golf Channel’s spotlight players during Friday’s telecast.  Thompson will make her LPGA debut as a professional this week.
·         “Walk and Talk” Featured – Golf Channel will feature “Walk and Talk” this week at the ShopRite LPGA Classic during all three rounds of coverage.  On-course reporters Val Skinner and Vicki Goetze-Ackerman will interview players as they are walking the fairways.  Golf Channel currently features “Walk and Talk” during its Champions Tour coverage.  “Walk and Talk” made its LPGA debut in May at the Bell Micro Classic.
·         “At the Turn” Featured on Sunday – Golf Channel’s Vicki Goetze-Ackerman and Val Skinner will interview players as they are making the turn during Sunday’s final round of coverage.
