Golf Channel’s Live Tournaments For This Weekend

This weekend, Golf Channel has action from four golf tours this weekend. Most all of the action will be seen live. There will be action from the PGA, LPGA, Champions and European PGA Tours.   • Final Opportunity to Qualify for the PGA TOUR Playoffs – The Wyndham Championship will be the final opportunity for players to earn FedExCup points and improve their positions heading into the Playoffs, or in some instances, move into the top 125 and qualify for the first Playoff event next week at The Barclays.
  • Four Rounds of Coverage – In addition to Thursday and Friday coverage, Golf Channel will air early coverage on Saturday and Sunday, leading into CBS Sports’ telecast. Golf Channel also will re-air CBS Sports’ coverage in prime time, Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 p.m. ET.
  • Players on the Bubble: Ernie Els (No. 126), Padraig Harrington (130), Ben Curtis (131), Justin Leonard (142), Angel Carbrera (150), defending champion Arjun Atwal (120), Camilo Villegas (125) and Paul Casey (147).

  • Stacy Lewis Mic’d Up – 2011 Kraft Nabisco Champion Stacy Lewis will be fitted with a microphone during Friday’s live tournament coverage. Viewers will be able to eavesdrop on conversations between Lewis and her caddie throughout the round.
  • U.S. Solheim Cup Captain Rosie Jones in Broadcast BoothDuring Friday’s live tournament coverage, U.S. Solheim Cup Team Captain Rosie Jones will join Gannon and Crafter in the broadcast booth.
  • Ryann O’Toole Rookie Spotlight – Former Big Break contestant and LPGA Tour rookie Ryann O’Toole will be Golf Channel’s rookie spotlight player during Saturday’s live tournament coverage.
  • Walk and Talks Featured – Jerry Foltz and Val Skinner will interview players as they are walking the fairways during all four rounds as part of Golf Channel’s “Walk and Talk” feature.
  • U.S. Team Captain Rosie Jones to Announce Solheim Cup Team – Approximately one hour after tournament play concludes on Sunday, Golf Channel will break in to programming to televise the announcement of the U.S. Solheim Cup Team and the two captain’s picks.
