U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL SHOWCASES FUTURE FOOTBALL STARS LIVE THIS SATURDAY ON NBC SPORTS

NEW YORK - Jan. 7, 2010 - Tim Tebow, Adrian Peterson and Mark Sanchez are some of the famous alumni of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the nation’s premier high school football all-star game, which plays its 10th contest this Saturday at 1 p.m. ET live on NBC Sports.

Bob Papa will call the action with Pat Haden providing analysis. Also providing commentary are reporters Lewis Johnson and Marty Snider, and high school football recruiting experts Mike Farrell and Tom Lemming.

Ninety of the nation’s top high school football players take the field in a classic East vs. West match up at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, to give fans a sneak peek at some of the nation’s top college prospects, including Rivals No. 1 overall rated player, OL Seantrel Henderson (Saint Paul, MN; Cretin-Derham Hall High).

One of the game’s most exciting traditions continues this year when a number of currently undecided players - including Rivals No. 9 overall rated player DL Sharrif Floyd (Philadelphia, PA; Washington High) - will announce their college choice live on the air during the game.

NBC also airs snowboarding on Sunday.

Coverage from Mammoth Lakes, Calif., Begins Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET

NEW YORK - Jan. 6, 2009 - Olympic gold medalists Shaun White, Kelly Clark and Hannah Teter take on snowboarding's elite as NBC Sports presents coverage of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix from Mammoth Lakes, Calif. this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.

The competition is the second stop in the series and will feature two full field halfpipe competitions, where athletes will attempt to secure a spot on the U.S. Olympic halfpipe team.

ANNOUNCERS: Pat Parnell, Tina Dixon and Todd Richards of the NBC Sports Olympic snowboarding broadcast team will call the action.

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALISTS NASTIA LIUKIN AND SHAWN JOHNSON HEADLINE THE PROGRESSIVE SKATING AND GYMNASTICS SPECTACULAR THIS SUNDAY ON NBC
NEW YORK- Jan. 7, 2010 - NBC Sports presents taped coverage of the Progressive Skating & Gymnastics Spectacular this Sunday at 4 p.m. ET from the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, S.D. The world’s top gymnastics and figure skating stars team up for a memorable show. Olympic gymnastics gold medalists Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson lead an all-star gymnastics and skating cast of champions. Commentary will be provided by Peggy Fleming, Bart Connor and Nadia Comenici.

Joining Liukin and Johnson on the gymnastics side is 2008 Olympic silver medalist Jonathan Horton, 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Raj Bhavsar and two-time World All-Around Champion Ivan Ivankov.

The star-studded skating talent includes three-time World champion Elvis Stojko, 1996 World champion Todd Eldredge, three-time National champion Michael Weiss and 2007 U.S. National silver medalist Emily Hughes.

Pop and “High School Musical” star Ashley Tisdale, who recently released her sophomore album “Guilty Pleasure,” is the featured musical guest.

NBC Sports presents taped coverage of the Professional Bull Riders’ New York City Invitational from Madison Square Garden this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

This event features rides by top athletes such as 2009 PBR World Champion Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.), 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil), 2007 & 2009 NYC champion J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.), two-time World champion Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.) and 2009 PBR Daisy Rookie of the Year Cody Nance (Carthage, Texas).

NBC’s Craig Hummer, Justin McKee, Ty Murray, Donna Brothers and Justin McBride call the action.

And Versus will show professional bull riding Saturday night.

VERSUS WILL AIR TWO-HOURS OF LIVE COVERAGE ON JAN. 9 AT 8 P.M. ET


NEW YORK, N.Y. (January 7, 2010) - The rankest bulls and toughest riders invade Manhattan for the fourth straight year to compete in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) New York City Invitational. VERSUS, the cable television home of the PBR, will air live coverage of the event on January 9, at 8 p.m. ET. All of the top PBR riders will be featured in this weekend's event including legendary Brazilian riders Guilherme Marchi and Robson Palermo who hold first and second place in this year's world standings. J.B. Mauney, winner of the 2009 New York City Invitational, will also be competing for his chance to defend his event title. Kody Lostroh, the 2009 World Champion, will make his second appearance of the 2010 season after undergoing elbow surgery just two months ago.

VERSUS kicked off the 2010 PBR season last week with the Baltimore Invitational and will air a total of 30 PBR events throughout the year, including the PBR World Finals from Las Vegas, Nev.
