ESPN plans to air a movie on the horse, Ruffian, who died back in 1974. However, trainer Frank Whiteley, Jr. and jockey Jacinto Vasquez are among three parties suing Disney. They say ESPN used their names and stories without their consent. I don’t think this will prevent the movie’s airing on June 9.

Barry Tramel of the Oklahoman newspaper has a profile on ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe who’s been doing yeoman’s work during the Women’s College World Series.

I linked to the YouTube video on Sunday. Now comes word that the Atlanta Braves have suspended Double A manager Phillip Wellman for three games.
