ESPN’s College Football Games & Announcing Assignments For Week 5

We have the ESPN family of networks college football schedule and announcing assignments for this weekend. The games are highlighted by Texas vs. Oklahoma in the renewal of the Red River Shootout from the Cotton Bowl at 3:30 p.m. (and a regional telecast for the first time in several years instead of the normal noontime national broadcast) and Stanford at Oregon in primetime. College GameDay from Oregon, Schedule Includes Matchups of Unbeatens & ESPNU Road Trip in Boise

College GameDay and College GameDay on ESPN Radio to Originate from No. 9 Stanford at No. 4 Oregon; Schedule Highlighted by Showdowns between Unbeaten Teams
College GameDay – expanded to three hours and now beginning on ESPNU at 9 a.m. ET and continuing on ESPN at 10 a.m. every Saturday and simulcast on ESPN Radio – will originate live from Eugene, Ore., this Saturday, site of No. 9 Stanford at No. 4 Oregon in a showdown between unbeaten Pac-10 programs (televised on ABC and ESPN2 at 8 p.m.). In addition, College GameDay on ESPN Radio – aired Saturdays from noon to 7 p.m. – will originate from Eugene for the matchup.
Chris Fowler hosts the Emmy Award-winning program with analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard. Erin Andrews anchors several segments of the first hour on ESPNU and contributes reports, interviews and features during the ESPN portion. College GameDay on ESPN Radio is hosted by Ryen Russillo with analysts Trevor Matich and Brad Edwards.
The schedule for this week across ESPN networks includes three additional matchups between unbeaten teams:
  • Texas A&M at Oklahoma State in a Big 12 contest Thursday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN3.com;
  • No. 11 Wisconsin at Big Ten foe No. 24 Michigan State Saturday, Oct. 2, at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, ESPN and ESPN3.com;
  • No. 19 Michigan at Indiana on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
Additional games between ranked teams Saturday, Oct. 2:
  • No. 21 Texas vs. undefeated Big 12 rival No. 8 Oklahoma in the 105th Red River Rivalry from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas at 3:30 p.m. on ABC, ESPN and ESPN3.com.
  • No. 22 Penn State at No. 17 Iowa in a showdown between one-loss Big Ten teams at 8 p.m. on ESPN and ESPN3.com.
