A Few Saturday Morning Links

Ok, I have yet to leave for New York, but I’m about to so I’ll give you a few links as I eat breakfast and dash out the door.

First, I’ll ask you to visit the Eye on Sports Media blog where Christopher Byrne is live blogging from the SEC Championship as Raycom says goodbye to the SEC. He’ll have pictures and all types of posts today so visit as much as possible and drive his numbers up.

The New York Post reports that three sports columnists are among the 100 staffers laid off.

Richard Sandomir of the New York Times looks back the NFL’s Greatest Game Ever and the ESPN documentary that will have some “new” footage.

Ken Schott of the Schenectady Gazette says the cause for the broadcast of today’s UAlbany-Jacksonville game will be a big winner.

Alan Pergament of the Buffalo News spent time with the Bills radio team last Sunday.

Jim Williams of the DC Examiner says Army-Navy properly kicks off your last college football Saturday of the season.

Jerry Garcia of the San Antonio Express-News writes that the next test for 3-D will be the BCS Championship Game which will have a wider audience than the NFL’s 3-D experiment earlier this week.

In his Saturday column, Barry Horn of the Dallas Morning News talks with ESPN college basketball analyst Dick Vitale. In his blog, Barry has five Saturday observations. Barry feels Sunday’s Cowboys-Steelers game will be the most watched program of the week.
