Once again, thanks to the fine people at NBC Sports Group for sending the announcing assignments for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Now that as the number of series in the Conference Quarterfinal round is dwindling, you’ll notice that more games are being covered by NBC Sports Group and the simulcasts with CBC, Comcast SportsNet affiliates and/or TSN are disappearing.
Here are the announcing assignments for tonight and Tuesday on the networks of NBC Sports Group.
Monday, April 23
Game 6: New York Rangers at Ottawa, NBC Sports Network, 7 p.m. — John Forslund/Brian Heyward
Game 6: Phoenix at Chicago, CNBC, 9 p.m. — Dave Strader/Brian Engblom
Tuesday, April 24
Game 6: Florida at New Jersey, NBC Sports Network, 7:30 p.m. — Kenny Albert/Pierre McGuire
So there are your assignments for NBC Sports Group. We’ll get the assignments for Wednesday as we could have as many as two Games 7. We know we’ll definitely have one, Washington at Boston and if Chicago can tie its series tonight, then it could be a rather epic night on Wednesday.
