NFL on CBS Gets Its Best Thanksgiving Ratings in 12 Years

This just in from CBS. Their ratings for yesterday’s Patriots-Lions game was the highest for a Thanksgiving Day game since CBS returned to the NFL in 1998.

The rating was 15.0 with a 35 share, up 19% from last year when CBS was saddled with Oakland-Dallas.

We have the press release from CBS Sports.

RATINGS BOUNTIFUL FOR “NFL ON CBS” THANKSGIVING DAY GAME WITH HIGHEST IN 12 YEARS
CBS Sports’ Thanksgiving Day coverage of the NFL ON CBS on Thursday, Nov. 25, which saw the New England Patriots beat the Detroit Lions, 45-24, earned an overnight household rating/share of 15.0/35, up 19% from last year’s 12.6/32 (Oakland-Dallas).
The 15.0/35 for the Patriots-Lions game is highest rating for a Thanksgiving Day game in the metered markets since a 15.8/40 on November 26, 1998 (Minnesota-Dallas; FOX).

With two decent games, I would think we would have ratings increases for both CBS and Fox.
