CBS College Sports Provides NCAA Tournament Programming

While it no longer can show games, CBS College Sports will continue to air NCAA Tournament-related shows starting today and will run all the way through the end of March Madness. There will be highlight shows as well as pregame programming that will compliment CBS/Turner’s coverage of the NCAA Tournament. You’ll remember for the past few years, CBS College Sports would air two or three games during the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament. With Turner in the mix now, CBS College Sports’ role has diminished, but it doesn’t stop the channel from doing its own shows. Let’s take a look at what is on tap for CBSC which will rebrand itself next month.

CBS COLLEGE SPORTS NETWORK PROVIDES WALL-TO-WALL TOURNAMENT COVERAGE

CBS College Sports Network continues coverage of the 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship this Tuesday, March 15 with BRACKET BREAKDOWN (3:00-6:00 PM, ET). The Network features over 85 hours of Tournament programming anchored by studio shows, BRACKET BREAKDOWN and FULL COURT PRESS, providing fans complete news, highlights and analysis throughout the Tournament.

CBS College Sports Network’s coverage also includes encore showings of every 2011 Tournament game that aired on CBS, TBS, TNT and truTV. The Network’s studio shows are BRACKET BREAKDOWN, which previews the action, analyzes the match-ups and recaps all the day’s action, and FULL COURT PRESS, which complements the live game coverage with press conferences, exclusive interviews, breaking news and in-depth analysis.

Adam Zucker, Dave Ryan, Molly Qerim and Brent Stover anchor studio programming and will be joined by CBS College Sports Network analysts Steve Lappas, Wally Szczerbiak, Pete Gillen, Alaa Abdelnaby and insider Jon Rothstein.  The Network also features guest analysts for first- and second-round coverage, including Rutgers coach Mike Rice, DePaul coach Oliver Purnell, former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt, former St. John’s coach Norm Roberts and former Michigan State star Mateen Cleaves.
