CBS’ and CBS College Sports’ College Basketball Games This Weekend

Both CBS and sister network CBS College Sports will be on board with college basketball games. Let’s first look at CBS’ games.

CBS SPORTS’ COLLEGE BASKETBALL SCHEDULE CONTINUES ON SATURDAY, DEC. 18, HIGHLIGHTED BY SOUTH CAROLINA VS. NO. 2-RANKED OHIO STATE
CBS Sports’ 30th consecutive season of college basketball continues on Saturday, Dec. 18 with a doubleheader featuring regional action as South Carolina plays *No. 2-ranked Ohio State and Stanford battles Butler (2:00 PM, ET). National coverage follows with *No. 22-ranked Texas taking on North Carolina (4:00 PM, ET). 
                                                                          
            Spero Dedes and Bill Raftery are courtside at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio with the call for the South Carolina-Ohio State game. Craig Silver produces and Steve Milton directs.
Greg Gumbel and analyst Greg Anthony will be on hand at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. to call Stanford-Butler. Steve Scheer produces and Bob Fishman directs.
Verne Lundquist and CBS Sports’ lead college basketball analyst Clark Kellogg call the action live from Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. for Texas-North Carolina Bob Dekas, the Network’s coordinating producer of college basketball, produces and Chris Svendsen directs.
AT THE HALF, CBS Sports’ halftime studio show, hosted by Tim Brando, along with Sports Illustrated’s Seth Davis, provides all the day’s news, scores and highlights live from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. WEEKEND COLLEGE BASKETBALL ACTION INLUDES NO. 7-RANKED TENNESSEE AT CHARLOTTE AND WAKE FOREST AT XAVIER IN SKIP PROSSER CLASSIC
Interview with Bruce Pearl to Air at Halftime of Tennessee Game
           
CBS College Sports Network’s weekend programming tips-off on Friday, December 17 (8:00 PM, ET) with men’s college basketball as *No. 7-ranked Tennessee takes on Charlotte from Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC.  Tom McCarthy and analyst Steve Wolf call the action. During halftime, the Network will air an interview as Seth Davis sits-down with Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl, in which Pearl discusses the recent NCAA investigation and its impact. 
Men’s college basketball coverage continues on Saturday, December 18 (8:00 PM, ET) with the second annual Skip Prosser Classic as Xavier hosts Wake Forest at Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Prosser was the head coach at Xavier from 1994-2001 and at Wake Forest from 2001 until his death in 2007. Dave Ryan calls the action with former Xavier coach Pete Gillen. Prosser was part of Gillen’s coaching staff at Xavier. 
Action continues at 10:00 PM, ET as UTEP hosts Texas Tech at Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas. Brent Stover teams with analyst Steve Lappas for the broadcast. 
On Saturday, December 18 (4:30 PM, ET), the Network airs the 2010 NAIA Football National Championship featuring Sioux Falls vs. Carroll at Barron Stadium in Rome, GA. Jason Knapp and analyst Aaron Taylor announce.
