Let’s give you some links this evening.

Writing for the Florida Times-Union, Jeff Elliot says CBS Sports analyst Bob Wenzel was not surprised that Belmont almost pulled off the upset against Duke in the NCAA Tournament. It’s easy to say after the fact.

Jim Walker of the Ironton (OH) Tribune says anyone can take over for Bob Knight or Digger Phelps on ESPN.

Is it any surprise that NASCAR and the GAC cable channel would team up for a show?

Michael David Smith of the AOL Fanhouse blog was surprised to see the tact taken by an ESPN.com writer in regards to seven Cuban soccer players who defected before a game against the US in Florida.

Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune writes that FSN North will pick up the Boston College-Minnesota NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament game this Saturday.

The Canadian Press profiles Jack Armstrong who divides his time between doing Toronto Raptors games on Rogers Sportsnet and college basketball games for the ESPN family of networks.

One last note, my spies tell me that a sports talk show host with New England ties was seen in New York last week talking one of the satellite radio companies. I’ll give you more on that down the road.

That’s it for now.
