Very rarely do I ask you to do anything. I am now. Blogs with Balls has announced its inaugural Untitled Sports Media Awards Project or #USMAP for short. There are several categories and I would like your help in getting nominated as a finalist. I’ll help you narrow it down so you don’t have to wonder where you should cast your vote.
Best Sports Site – Writing Quality
This category highlights the best sports website in terms of the quality of writing. The site may focus on news, commentary, statistics, humor or all of the above, as long as all nominees focus primarily on sports. There is no limit to the number of writers involved in the site, but it must be a sports site and not just a news or entertainment website with a sports column.
Nominee Name: Ken Fang
Nominee URL: http://fangsbites.com
Nominee Twitter: @fangsbites
Best Sports Site – News Breaking
This category highlights the best sports website in terms of news breaking. Notice the wording is not “breaking news” as in the best site to cover news once it has broken. This award should honor the best site for actually breaking the news the other sites then try to cover.
Nominee Name: Ken Fang
Nominee URL: http://fangsbites.com
Nominee Twitter: @fangsbites
Best Sports Media Tweeter
Twitter has changed the way we consume news and analysis. This category highlights the best tweeter in sports media. Anyone who works in sports or has the majority of his or her tweets about sports can be eligible.
Nominee Name: Ken Fang
Network Affiliation: Fang’s Bites
Nominee Twitter: @fangsbites
I just ask for your nomination in three categories. If you wish to put me in other categories, you can certainly do so. Just don’t put me in the “Best Old Sportswriter (Over 65)”. I’m not that old.
Thank you in advance.
