Quotable from Week 12 Edition of The Coaches Show on NFL Network

(Airs Mondays at 6:30 PM ET with replays at 8:30 and 10:00 PM ET)

Quick quotes:

“Like last year, they had a swagger, a mojo, a confidence and all of a sudden, they got it back. They believe they can beat anybody.” – STEVE MARIUCCI on the why the Titans have won their last five games

“They’ve created a chemistry… it’s really brought this team together. Right now they’re in a great spot.” – MIKE MARTZ on the Titans and their five-game winning streak

“Bill is noted for taking away a team’s strength but, when you look at the Saints, this is the number one offense in the league and they’re not one dimensional…They’re balanced in the passing game and the run game so it’s hard for Bill to say, ‘This is what they do best – let’s take it away.’” – STEVE MARIUCCI on Patriots head coach Bill Belichick’s challenge in preparing to play against the Saints

“We’re all concerned about it and we’re heading in to uncharted waters trying to monitor and decide when a player should and shouldn’t play.” – STEVE MARIUCCI on concussions

“It would take the pressure off the players, the coaches and the medical staff if you had a standard.” – MIKE MARTZ on the idea of having a standard amount of time that a player must sit out after a concussion

“It’s imperative that they have most of their players available because December is the toughest part of their schedule and they’ve got to continue to get better… to have a strong playoff run.” – STEVE MARIUCCI on the Cowboys

“I like Rex, he’s doing a great job. He’s set up a whole new mentality over there. His brash approach is who he is and that’s why they hired him.” – MIKE MARTZ on Jets head coach Rex Ryan’s coaching style

“He’s got to be himself. He can’t be Dick Jauron, he can’t be Marv Levy… he just has to win some games and let the chips fall where they may.” – STEVE MARIUCCI on Bills interim head coach Perry Fewell

“He’s very sharp – this is a terrific pick for a head coach. He did a great job as coordinator and he has the respect of the players. I love the guy.” – MIKE MARTZ on Bills interim head coach Perry Fewell
