Some One-Liners on Fox Sports 1’s Daytime Debuts

After seeing the premiere of three Fox Sports 1 studio shows, I have a few thoughts. These are not full-blown reviews. I need to see more than the premiere to form a true judgment. One show does a series make and it would be unfair to write a review based on one show.

As usual, they will come in bullet form.

  • Julie Stewart-Binks is a decent host of Fox Soccer Daily.
  • The furniture on the sets of Fox Soccer Daily and Fox Football Daily could be greatly improved by a visit to IKEA.
  • Nice touch to have Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl contribute to Fox Soccer Daily.
  • Good to see English Premier League highlights on Fox Soccer Daily. Had heard EPL highlights would not be seen on the show.
  • It seems the most energy for Crowd Goes Wild from the audience came at the beginning and at the end if the show. Not a good sign.
  • I don’t think Regis Philbin will be on Crowd Goes Wild past February.
  • We need to see more of Katie Nolan.
  • I liked Trevor Pryce on CGW.
  • I didn’t like Michael Kosta.
  • Why did it seem the sanity on CGW came only from Jason Gay?
  • I never thought Randy Moss, the former wide receiver not the bald headed white guy, could be a star on TV. He could very well be on Fox NFL Sunday next season.
  • Fox Football Daily appeared to showing off its entire set with each new segment.
  • Good video footage from Jay Glazer on an incident between Houston Texans defensive lineman Antonio Smith and Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito.
  • Fox Football Daily could take a bite from the 6 p.m. SportsCenter audience.

That will end the post for now.
