Tonight, we have two games in the NHL, both involving Original Six teams, both of which are hoping to stave off elimination.
The New York Rangers are hoping to force a Game 7 against a surprising Ottawa Senators team which were thought to be pushovers against the #1 seed going into this series, but now the Sens are home and gearing to eliminate the Blue Shirts. And if that happens, it would mark the second upset of a #1 seed in this year’s playoffs after Vancouver, the President’s Trophy winner for winning the most points in the NHL season was upset by the Los Angeles Kings last night.
And the Chicago Blackhawks hope home cooking can extend their series against the Phoenix Coyotes tonight in an epic series that had had the first five games go to overtime.
NBC Sports Network takes Rangers-Ottawa at 7 p.m. ET while ‘Yotes-‘Hawks are on CNBC at 9 p.m.
