At the week and a half point of the Stanley Cup Playoffs of the more than 50 day journey that will lead us to a champion in June.
Tonight, we have two games, both are potential eliminations. Both are Games 5 in their respective Conference Quarterfinal series.
There will be staggered starts for Philadelphia at Pittsburgh and Detroit at Nashville. NBC Sports Network will carry Philly-Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. ET while CNBC will air Detroit-Nashville at 8 p.m.
No late games tonight. That’s reserved for tomorrow when we have a staggering five games for Saturday.

In the Western Conference at 8 p.m. ET on CNBC, the host #4 Nashville Predators lead the series 3-1 and look to clinch against the #5 Detroit Red Wings. GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR
For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
