Day 7 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs on NBC Sports Group

We’ve just about completed the first full week of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and we’re turning into the second half of the NHL Conference Semifinals for some series.

Tonight, there will be three games, all spread out on the networks of Sports Group. CNBC, NBC Sports Network and NHL Network will share the wealth and due to the scheduling, the latest game will begin at 9 p.m. ET (Phoenix-Chicago on CNBC).

For tonight, we have staggered start times which is a good thing.

NEW YORK – April 17, 2012 – Day 7 – The NBC Sports Group concludes its first week of coverage of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight with one game each on NBC Sports Network, CNBC, and NHL Network. Coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network.

TONIGHT

Beginning at 7 p.m. ET, NHL Network airs the night’s Eastern Conference game with the #3 Florida Panthers looking to break out from a series 1-1- tie with host #6 New Jersey Devils. Moving to Western Conference at 7:30 on NBC Sports Network, the #5 Detroit Red Wings are looking to even their series with a home-ice advantage against the #4 Nashville Predators, who lead 2-1; and concluding tonight’s action, the #3 Phoenix Coyotes travel to Chicago to battle the #6 Blackhawks in a series tied 1-1 on CNBC at 9 p.m. ET. GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR

For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
