This report aired in my home market of Providence this week. Some background, several Rhode Island communities have reported sightings of a bear roaming around and it’s been looking for food.
WJAR-TV (NBC 10) has been tracking the bear sightings on its website. We’re not sure if it’s the same bear or two bears, but during a slow summer, this helps to fill time.
In the wake of one particular sighting this week, NBC 10 reporter Julie Tremmel decided to be a little creative. She did a report on what you should do if you come across a bear, but instead of filling the video with wildlife experts and talking heads, Julie used herself as an example utilizing her eyes and flip flops as props. I have to admit it’s original.
And here’s the report in full from NBC 10′s website.
Fox 17 in Grand Rapids took the ball and remixed Julie’s flailing to music.
This certainly caught my attention today.
