Jets-Giants Bring NFL Network Its 3rd Highest Audience for Preseason Game

So due to Hurricane Irene, the New York Jets-New York Giants game at the New Meadowlands Stadium had to be rescheduled from Saturday to Monday. And with the move, the game received a national audience thanks to NFL Network. With it being the only NFL game of the night, an average of 1.78 million people watched the game making it the third highest audience for a preseason game on NFL Network.

NFL Network is Only Network to Show Live NFL Games Nationally this Week:
Colts-Bengals & Broncos-Cardinals Thursday Night Doubleheader  Beginning at 7:00 PM ET
Raiders-Seahawks Friday at 10:30 PM ET

The rescheduled live Monday night game featuring the battle of New York where the Jets defeated the Giants 17-3 delivered an average of 1.78 million viewers on NFL Network. It was the third highest viewershipfor a preseason game in the network’s history.

Six of the top 10 all-time most-watched preseason games on NFL Network have aired this year as the NFL gets “Back to Football” and ready for the regular season to begin.

NFL Network is the only national network with live games in the final week of preseason. On Thursday, September 1, NFL Network features a pair of live games, starting at 7:00 PM ET when the Indianapolis Colts visit the Cincinnati Bengals. At 10:00 PM ET, the Arizona Cardinals host the Denver Broncos in Glendale, Arizona. On Friday, September 2 at 10:30 PM ET, the Oakland Raiders travel to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
