NBC’s Announcement on NFL Wild Card Saturday Doubleheader

I already posted the schedule of games for NFL Wild Card Weekend, twice in fact, but never a bad time to post NBC’s schedule again. This is the official announcement from NBC Sports. It’s pretty safe to assume that the Sunday Night Football crew of Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Andrea Kremer will head to Indianapolis for the Jets-Colts game.

It’s my guess that NBC’s Notre Dame Football crew of Tom Hammond, Mike Mayock and Alex Flanagan would work the New Orleans Saints at NFC West Division winner. We all know the disastrous results of having Tom teamed with Joe Gibbs and Joe Theismann last year. Let’s hope we don’t get a repeat of that. We’ll know soon enough.

We’ll get the plans for Football Night in America and announcing assignments either on Monday or Tuesday.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS HOST NEW YORK JETS AND WINNER OF ST. LOUIS RAMS VS. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS HOSTS NEW ORLEANS SAINTS ON NBC SPORTS’ WILD CARD SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADER
Coverage Begins with “Football Night in America” This Saturday at 4 pm ET
NEW YORK – Jan. 2, 2011 – The National Football League today announced that NBC Sports will broadcast the New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams/Seattle Seahawks at 4:30 p.m. ET and the New York Jets at the Indianapolis Colts at 8 p.m. ET as its Wild Card Saturday doubleheader this Saturday. The Seahawks will host the Saints in the early game. Coverage begins with “Football Night in America,” Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens on CBS at 1 p.m. and the Philadelphia Eagles host the Green Bay Packers on Fox 4:30 p.m. ET.

That should do it on the NFL Wild Card weekend playoffs for tonight. If I get more information, I’ll post it here immediately.
